How to add Slack to Claude
Use the Slack connector from Claude's directory. Slack's server does not take any app that asks, so adding the address as a custom connector usually fails; the directory version is the one Slack approved.
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors (Settings > Connectors in some versions).
- Browse the connectors and search for Slack.
- Press Connect, sign in and allow access.
- In a chat, press +, then Connectors, to switch it on or off.
On your phone: connectors belong to your Claude account. Add it once on claude.ai or in the desktop app, and it is in the Claude app for iPhone and Android too: in a chat, press +, then Connectors, and switch it on.
Not in your list? Add it as a custom connector with the address above: the steps for a custom connector.
How to add it to ChatGPT
ChatGPT has its own Slack connector on Business and Enterprise plans: Settings > Apps (Connectors in some versions), Slack. Availability depends on your plan and workspace admin.
Claude Code

Try asking
- "What did I miss in #product today?"
- "Post the release notes to #announcements."
Good to know
- Your Slack admin may need to approve the app.
- Messages are sent as you.
